Description: Health Care Service Corp. (HCSC) is a non-investor-owned mutual-insurance company that operates the Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in Illinois, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Those plans offer PPO, HMO, POS, traditional indemnity and Medicare supplemental health plans. HCSC also offers employer-sponsored health, dental and prescription-drug coverage in addition to other life-insurance products.
