PBS is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15--Oct. 15) with a lineup of programs that will examine the rich history, heritage and cultural contributions of Latinos. With a focus on the diversity of Latin music, all month long the musicians' creative talents will be on display. From Texican to an all-female mariachi band, PBS will cover a wide variety of genres. In addition, the station will re-broadcast recent Imagen Awards nominees.

An in-depth look at the election through the prism of ethnic politics, "LATINOS '08," will be presented in October. For children, PBS encourages healthy exploration of cultural differences with a new season of "Sesame Street" as well as educational cartoons like "Maya & Miguel," a nominee for the Imagen Awards.
