The bank's work force is very diverse demographically. Blacks, Latinos and Asians are 39.3 percent of the work force and 46 percent of new hires, and women are 58 percent of both the work force and new hires. In management, Blacks, Latinos and Asians are 23.5 percent but received 30 percent of promotions; and women are 48 percent but received 49 percent of promotions.
