GLAD provides legal information for the New England states, including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. If you click the hyperlink to New Hampshire, for example, you will find the rights and protections available to the LGBT community in New Hampshire in an easily read format. Specifically, you would be able to ascertain the antidiscrimination law, family law, hate-crimes and sex law, or even students' rights in that state. There are also publications available that provide information on domestic-partner benefits. Are you interested if there is transgender nondiscrimination legislation in New Hampshire? You might find out here.

Legal information is also available by topic and in publication form. The topics covered include anti-LGBT discrimination, the criminal-justice system and prisons, federal discrimination, hate crimes and violence, HIV/AIDS, immigration, marriage, parents and kids, relationships, students and schools, and transgender issues. Many of the publications are also available in Spanish. If you are interested in immigration, for example, you can see what's on the docket in terms of pending cases, or you can view legislative and general news. Additionally, there is a publication entitled "Warning for Same-Sex Binational Couples" which cautions that marriage will not fix immigration problems but may cause new ones.
