The man is not properly brought up, he i exhibiting the animal in him. Unfortunately Michelle is way-way-way above him. This is fact and will remain so..

This shows the "True Color" of the people of this country. Racism is still alive..

And yet there was no problem with openly calling George Bush a chimp for eight years.More whining from the "diversity" grievance mongers..

Racism has always been man's desire and not God's design. When I looked at the picture of Rusty and the gorilla the only difference is that the gorilla is black and when Rusty dies he will be black..

Calling George Bush a chimp is not rooted in historical racism. Comparing Black people to monkeys and gorillas has been part of Western culture for centuries. It was one of the dehumanizing techniques used to justify oppression and slavery. It continues to be used to demean us. We must not only protests about such imagery. We must also educate folks who don't understand the hate they are passing on! .

The fact that a minor elected official from South Carolina felt he had the right - and probably historical privilege - to disrespect and demean the first, first lady of these United States; one who does not represent the nearly-always dominant European culture, speaks volumes. The fact that George Bush has been repeatedly compared to a 'chimp' in his physical appearance, name - (anyone recall George the little monkey?), limited grasp of vocabulary, and his 'simple' antics, speaks volumes. The fact that a good number of the public from cartoonists, to satirists, to late night talk show hosts categorized him the same, speaks volumes. The fact that a white, minor official from South Carolina chose to engage in demonizing Mrs. Obama; a beautiful, proud, unapologetic, stylish and graceful woman; a First Lady who possesses exceptional intelligence, great family values, and is married to the leader of the free world, speaks volumes.Let those who are blessed with the ability to read and write, recognize these facts!.

No matter how far we've come, it never seems to be far enough. For a public official to make such a blatant, ignorant, racist remark is unconscionable. Our first lady is beautiful, smart, poised, an amazing wife and mother and we as Americans are proud to have this beautiful couple represent us. Mr. DePass is an embarrassment not only to S.C. but the entire country. He should apologize to the First Lady, never be allowed to hold public office and take a courses in diversity, tolerance and black history..

The sapien pictured looks more like the bald white dude than Michelle, all but the same color. Oh, and intellect. The gorilla, I'll bet, is more intelligent and possibly way more sensitive to the feelings of others of his kind. I'll bet this gorilla has never insulted another gorilla of fair hair to Rusty DePass, no matter how much this gorilla loathed lighter furred gorillas..

While referring to Mr. Bush as an animal ("chimp") is not racailly-infused, it is nevertheless offensive and inappropriate, regardless of whether it served as fodder for late night television programing. .

That serves him right.I think by now he must have learnt how to appreciate people for their achievements. The issue today is no longer about race, it is about human right. .
